Call for Papers
We are pleased to announce that authors of accepted IAEG 2026 250-word abstracts may submit Papers via the Congress Paper Submission Platform starting from 1 November 2025.
Recognizing the rapid pace of technological innovation, the emergence of new case studies, and strong interest from the community, we also welcome paper submissions from authors who did not previously submit a 250-word abstract.
The submission deadline is 1 February 2026.
Reminder: All accepted papers will be published online free of charge in the open-access Congress Proceedings, each assigned a unique DOI and submitted for indexation in Scopus or an equivalent database.
Let us advance together, join us at the IAEG 2026 World Congress in Delft, The Netherlands!

Paper Submission Procedure
To submit your paper, visit www.oxfordabstracts.com and Sign in.
In case you have an already approved 250-word abstract, Sign in to Oxford Abstracts with the e-mail you used previously. Then, select the abstract for which you like to submit a paper and click [edit]. You will notice the status of the abstract is "incomplete". You may modify your approved 250-word abstract, update its title, authors, affiliation, themes, text, or keywords. Fill out all the required fields in the submission form. Required questions are marked with an "*". Note that the illustration you may have attached to your original 250-word abstract will only appear with its caption in the Book of Abstracts.
If you don't have an Oxford Abstracts account, click on the button Sign up at the bottom of the page and Sign up with your e-mail. Once you have created your account, follow the submission process.
In any case, it is crucial that the information on the paper matches exactly the information you enter in dedicated fields in the Oxford Abstracts Paper Submission Platform.
If you are submitting multiple papers, please use the same email and contact details.
Paper Preparation Instructions for Authors
We aim to publish high-quality proceedings and submit them for indexation in Scopus or equivalent platforms to ensure lasting global visibility. This goal relies on the quality of each paper, in both content and form, as well as on the rigor of the review process and the excellence of the editorial work. Please ensure that your paper strictly follows the IAEG 2026 template guidelines and editorial policies.
Paper Template
You can download the IAEG 2026 template below to prepare your manuscript. Make sure that your paper meets the minimum and maximum length criteria specified in the template. The total length should include the abstract, introduction, main text, conclusions, references, and any optional tables, figures, contribution statement, and acknowledgments.
Editorial policies
Language and Plagiarism checks
Before submission, authors must ensure their manuscript is written clearly and passes plagiarism checks. All papers will be reviewed for language quality and similarity prior to acceptance.
Rules regarding the Use of AI tools
Authors may use AI tools to improve text or create figures, provided they carefully verify the results and disclose the tools used and their purposes in the Acknowledgements.
Permissions for Third-Party Images
Authors must obtain written, traceable permission from rights holders before using third-party images. Proper credit must be given to the copyright holder. The Publisher is not responsible for any copyright infringement.
Rules regarding References
References must be relevant, correctly presented, and formatted as specified in the IAEG 2026 Paper Template. Citation practices must be balanced and avoid over-reliance on works by the same authors.
What happens after I submit
Papers will be scored by reviewer(s) on: 1) relevance, (2) scientific quality and 3) language and structure. Your paper will be ranked for each of these topics on a scale of 1 = poor to 4 = excellent. Also, the papers will be checked whether they are formatted correctly, for copyrights on pictures, and for plagiarism. Taking the reviews into account, the session chair will recommend whether the paper should be accepted, rejected, or whether revisions are necessary. The editor will decide whether to follow this recommendation.
On 1 May 2026 you will receive the scores, reviewer(s) comments, and a copy of any marked-up paper your reviewer(s) may have uploaded. Note, a marked-up version of the paper is optional for reviewers. In case revisions are required, you will get until 1 July 2026 to make the final adjustments and upload your revised manuscript along with your response to the reviewers.
After your paper is accepted, you will receive a license agreement form that you must fill out and return when you submit your final revised version of the paper.
By 15 July 2026, we will let you know your presentation type, oral, poster, panel, invited, or publication-only.
Your abstracts and papers will help shape the congress program, defining sessions, setting the schedule, and ensuring your favorite engineering geology topics are well represented at IAEG 2026. Please note that submissions may be moved to a different theme depending on the number of abstracts received for each theme.
And here is some good news: if you submit a paper, with new results or case study by 1 February 2026, you will have an additional opportunity to secure an oral or poster presentation!
Publications and Presentations contingent on Registration
Registration opens in February 2026, and early bird rates will be available until three months before the congress kicks off.
For each approved set of submission (abstract only or abstract + paper), one (co-)author must register, and a registered (co-)author cannot represent more than two submissions.
