IAEG Solidarity fund for low- and lower-middle income countries
We are pleased to announce that we have secured €20 000 for the IAEG Solidarity Fund, which will provide registration-fee discounts of 50–100%, depending on the number of applications received.
Eligibility
To be eligible, applicants must:
Be based in a low-income or lower-middle-income country as listed in the World Bank 2025 classification
Be the presenting author of an accepted abstract or paper at the IAEG 2026 Congress
Be an IAEG member
Provide the contact details of a person who can support their application.
Confirm that they have sufficient funding available to cover travel, accommodation, visa, and any other related costs. To note: discounts may not cover the whole registration fee, recipients may need to pay the remaining amount. Registration fees cover all coffee breaks and lunches during the congress.
Visa (to ensure awards go to attendees)
Applicants who require a visa must indicate their visa situation and provide evidence of visa progress by the deadline (e.g. appointment confirmation or application receipt).
All presenting authors with accepted abstracts or papers who are based in low- or lower-middle-income countries will receive an early invitation letter for visa purposes, prior to registration payment. An email from the IAEG 2026 Organizing Committee will confirm the abstract acceptance and provide instructions for pre-registration so that the invitation letter can be issued.
If a selected recipient cannot obtain a visa in time, the discount may be reallocated.
Application review and selection
Applications will be reviewed by the IAEG 2026 Solidarity Committee and, if necessary, recipients will be selected by lottery.
If you are eligible, apply using this link by 15 April 2026, midnight (CE).
